I am now ready to admit I have too many books but I am not ready to admit that anything follows from this. It is an isolated fact shedding no light and recommending no course of action.

Inspirational right there
My writing is really experimental in my new book. I'm nervous and feel vulnerable about it. I'm even getting a bit philosophical. Sometimes I panic and think about throwing it all out and retreating to more formal academic prose.

But then I think, fuck it - we only live once. Put it all out there.

PSA:
You can love Jewish people and be against Zionism.

You can want a free Palestine and a free Iran at the same time.

You can love a population of people and also hate people in that population who hate other people.

All things can be true. It’s not always one or the other.

Ì tried to write a book once, I wrote a lot, started again, felt I had failed and dropped the whole thing.

To those who have written a book, or more:

I think you're incredible.

The weirdest thing about Americans is how many of them think their laws apply to every person in the world.
But they're certain other countries' laws don't apply to them.

My favorite part of reading is when a book gets so good you have to set it down, (finger marking the page), and just let your mind be blown for a minute before picking it back up again.

I keep going back to Star Trek lately.
Not for the future.
For a place where adults are in charge.
Where choices matter.
Where harm has consequences.

Beam me up.
Shields up.
Warp 10.
Make it so.

Vaccines are safe and effective.

Autism isn't caused by vaccines, and autistic people and their families deserve our support.

When you want information, ask your doctor.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you’re under absolutely no obligation to justify yourself to anyone if you choose to spend the entire weekend drinking tea, reading books, and eating a scandalous amount of cinnamon rolls.

Whilst I concede that texting is “convenient”, I much prefer all correspondence to be in the form of a handwritten letter composed on an oak desk by candlelight with a quill dipped into a bottle of ink, enclosed in an envelope with a wax seal, and sent via raven.
