I'm seeing lots of people wondering which audience the Steam Machines are going for, exactly. The amount of people that are perfectly fine with playing in 1080p worldwide is surprisingly staggering and this kind of hardware wants to tap into that.

The difference between HK and Silksong is that when I see a random HK youtube video, I immediately think about replaying it. Because I know it will respect my time, it will not be bloated by side quests and collectathons. Silksong, I'm not even done with it and I know already I'll never replay it.

Silksong has the same problem as RDR2, The Last of Us 2 and many others game that took 7 years to make: their design is physiologically outdated by the time they finally decide to release. The runbacks, the gauntlets, the currency scarcity, none of it is fun. No one wants those in games anymore

The new bond game's sales are going to be disappointing. They decided to go with a young version of Bond with the obvious intent of drawing in a younger audience, but I don't think they realize how little Gen-Zers and Gen Alpha-ers care about Bond. And the Whedonian quips will alienate older gamers.
