Can y’all please be on the lookout for my bike? Last seen in Elliot Park. It is a black Biria bike with red pedals and stickers of local news orgs on the bottom tube. It also has a Brooks saddle and adapters for Wolf Tooth pogies on the handlebars.

a high armhole allows for freer and more comfortable movement

Trump on Portland: "It's like the movies you see for the kids, I guess not only the kids, adults also, where you have these bombed out cities and these bombed out people. It's like, worse than that."

Wow, look at the decrease in shootings in the 4th Precinct.
Star Tribune graph showing 2019-2025 shootings by precinct. Three out of five are down, one is flat, the Fifth is up slightly from a low level. The Fourth was by far the highest but has dropped steeply to the same number as the Fifth, grouped just above the other four. All are at or below 75 shootings (vs a high of 250 in 2021).

This is an important point.

Everyone one of these people has been asked to leave their home, their family, and their job to work without pay bc of the shutdown. We're better off thinking of ways to make this backfire on Abbott than to treat them poorly.

Texas National Guard troops arriving in Chicago (via ABC News)

Remember: These are not MAGA stormtroopers. These are everyday teachers and accountants who signed up to serve their country with their spare time. They're being used as political pawns by venal, un-American, draft-dodging president

For those playing “are we there yet?” at home, at @atrupar.com's PN I’ve got the recourse for the president’s explicit call for domestic military deployment. There probably won't be any accountability but there are options still on the table.

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

One year there was an issue with the Chromebook licenses at our kid’s school, so the teachers had to start the school year NOT having the kids work on laptops, and—shocking, I know—the students learned a ton, said they preferred “hands on”/analog teaching, and asked for more laptop-free lessons.

Where is your favorite place to buy unique fashion accessories in the metro area? Thinking homemade/craft jewelry, bracelets, ties, bow ties, hairclips, maybe even bolo ties? Is there a store/location that has these?

Ideally before Thursday. Exploring my options for an event next weekend.
