It’s sad to see what trump does to science but it’s even worse to see two psychopaths with no empathy bully the unfortunately emotional president of the country at war. This opinion by Mikhail Zygar is spot on (free 10-min audio version avail.). Is this the new reality, or Americans could fix that?

Not sure why Silicon Valley is so fixated on marketing AI to scientists as a tool for hypothesis generation? We have no problems generating hypotheses. We can crank out half-baked ideas just fine. You can help by pipetting, debugging unmaintained code, and troubleshooting weird unreported edge cases

Finally put together a script that scrapes arxiv/biorxiv/pubmed and emails the relevant structbio/ml papers from there every morning github.com/delalamo/Pub... I have it running on Heroku cloud for $7/mo, but it can also run locally for free on a raspberry pi or whatever
