3.7 GW of new solar capacity came online in Africa in 2023 alone.

Africans see that the future is powered by sunlight, wind and water - not planet-wrecking fossil fuels.

In Togo, the Blitta Solar Power Station (50 MW, expanding towards 70 MW) is now lighting up hundreds of thousands of homes + small businesses.

Battery storage ensures that power continues to flow even after the sun sets.

Nigeria is Africa’s largest oil producer. But it's built huge solar mini-grids for rural areas.

Why? Fossil fuels are yesterday's problem producing
unreliable electricity from filthy diesel generators.

Let's face it, the fact that a bloke was arrested for wearing a "Plasticine Action" T-shirt a few weeks back probably answers your question. The irony is that mass on-the-spot arrests are only feasible because the crowd is essentially peaceful and non-violent.
