If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2.

There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security.

Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation."

TURN IT OFF.

Wikipedia is worth $10/month because if it dies so does reliable knowledge. Cough up if you can -- it's cheaper, more interesting and morally superior to Netflix.
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...

Keep tabs on your favorite artists, follow their other socials, and keep an eye on how they start moderating, come oct 15th. If you start seeing bullshit, fact check the situation first, then let your voice be heard if you smell foul play.

Fuck censorship and vague af, easily abusable guidelines ✊
I messaged @support.bsky.team asking them to define what 'nonconsensual' means in their tos, and what guidelines moderation will be using to ban people for it. It's been weeks and no reply. They should have an internal definition already.

So if my account disappears after Oct 15th y'all know why.

and hey on the topic of ID laws

do you really trust Bluesky, whose admin and c-suites physically cannot stop themselves from posting-through-it, to be able to hold onto your fucking govt ID and not leak it in a data breach like Discord?

these policies suck, they are dangerous, call your reps

I've found the best strategy when your reps are Rs is to really hammer home how Anti-American, Anti-1st amendment, & anti-freedom these bills are, cause it's true. Also how much they've tanked the popularity of candidates who've backed KOSA in the UK. Also endless "you're wasting my tax $ on THIS?!"
The 'Stop CSAM Act of 2025' has had its govtrack likelihood t
[to be enacted] drop from from 56% down to 46%!

Keep calling your representatives in both the house and senate and hammer how this is a surveillance/anti-encryption bill under the guise of "protecting children". Tell them to OPPOSE!

Before the events of Sep 10th, KOSA was reported to be dead in the committee. Now they're using said events as an excuse to try to get the bill through.

Just because the debate guy got killed for his free speech doesn't mean they should take away yours.

actions that will contribute more to pushing against bluesky's censorship than a blackout:

-submitting a feedback request
-@ing moderation about it
-commenting on mods posts about it
-making and sharing memes (ex: "i consent!" sticker)
-leaving an app store review
-just generally posting about it

Can't believe people don't get this; but the reason this payment processor shit has to be all or nothing is because once these freaks establish a line on what fiction is or isn't okay the line will only move further and further in. You have to fight against the line entirely.

Spoke with an anon source who had an interesting insight into Visa policy. Per a convo with their bank on the Steam/itchio situation today, Visa put new restrictions into place due to a new "government policy." The exact phrase used by Visa. No specific country was listed as the source of the policy

VISA CAN'T HANG UP ON YOU UNTIL YOU STOP TALKING. YAPPERS, THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE.

Talk in circles! Loop back to the same points! Take a minute to "remember" a word! Your goal isn't to change their minds, it's to keep talking for as long as possible to waste their money and clog call centers.
Visa says they're still drowning today! Payment processors think that we're not organized enough to keep this up but it's we either prove them wrong or submit to global censorship so it's. not much of a contest. Keep calling all 4!!
