For reasons that were never made clear to me my friends began referring to me as "The Paul" but only when talking *about* me, never to me. The first I heard of this was when a loose acquaintance once saw me out and about and shouted "ooo, the Paul!" Ala Toy Story.

My partner hosts a cookie swap around Christmas every year. This year, she opted to try her hand at candied oranges. It took a couple of attempts and a bit more science than we initially expected, but they came out perfectly.

I wrote "not a lot of reasons to sing, but enough" during the first trump admin. It's an abolitionist sci-fi poetry book following two poets (one of whom is a robot) as they make their way from village to village, across a prison colony moon. *And* it's got @marcheriest.bsky.social's gorgeous art.
