Today Trump was caught on video dropping his ball on the green to cheat at golf. Also a foreign reporter asked him dead to his face if he was trying to distract people from the Epstein files.

At this moment, on July 20, 1969, people around the world held their breaths, waiting to hear the words "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed" as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history and became the first humans to land on another celestial body, the moon.

Why do so many Americans not have empathy for anyone?

Do they think this makes them look cool?

It makes them look weak.

When Saigon fell on April 30, 1975, generations of Vietnamese people were forced to flee an oppressive tyranny in search of democracy. Their courage and sacrifice built the foundation for Vietnamese-American communities that now help shape our nation.

Again, I am ASTOUNDED that SO MANY people don’t understand that if Walmart or Target can’t stock their shelves, NO STORE will be able to. It doesn’t matter if you are boycotting them.

How are people on both sides somehow not grasping this concept?!?

Forget Canada — I don't think I've ever seen a poll shift this dramatic in *any* modern democracy. One of the most remarkable elections of my lifetime.
It's really hard to overstate how hugely favored conservatives were up until two months ago.

Here's the graph of Canadian polling between March 2023 and March 2025. (Reminder: blue is conservative.)

Those are months and months of 20+ point leads for Tories.

In Canada's news desert on Facebook & Insta, hyper-partisan and fake content blooms.
Our dive into the warped world the Meta news ban is creating as Canadians head to the polls, where dubious posts are thriving, often mimicking the very content that's banned.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

NOAA is reportedly on the DOGE chopping block.

The National Weather Service, which is part of NOAA, provides life saving weather forecasting in the US.

A study found that for every $1 invested in NWS, it produces $73 in value to Americans.

Again, this isn't about efficiency.

the “administrative state” in practice is a lot of very hard working, practically anonymous people doing the thankless work of making this country run and a drug-addled dipshit is slandering them in order to steal our money for himself
not trying to pick on this guy. this just reminded me that the federal government does not provide coffee to workers. to drink coffee at a federal office you generally have to pay into a "coffee club" that is managed by a staffer who volunteers to collect money and purchase a monthly coffee supply.
