One particular gripe I have about 2025:

Idris Elba played both a British prime minister and a U.S. president in movies this year and got a knighthood and these fools still haven't announced him as the next James Bond.

Question: But the president’s statements that he believed the election was rife with fraud—those are statements protected by the First Amendment, correct?

Smith: Absolutely not. If they are made to target a lawful government function and are made with knowing falsity, then no, they are not.

And the GOP has used the centrist position and cast it as far left and feel emboldened to move further right. Their current positions would have been to ridiculous for people to consider 10 years ago.

And I’m not some fire breathing lefty. Up until the recession I was probably at best a clintonian third way Democrat. But then, you know, I opened my eyes?

if Democrats listened to third way post-Clinton they would have never won the White House or congress. That said, they listened to them far too often in that era and almost all the Dems worst ideas have come from them. Why? Because third way is fundamentally right wing at its core.

third way is the only think tank, left or right, to ever block me on social media. why? because i kept pointing out that third way is a right wing operation designed to pull the democratic party away from liberalism/leftism.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.
