Oversaturation is a made up problem I think. There's too much of one genre? You literally don't have to play them. There's literally new games every day. This game is following a trend? Yeah? Who cares? You literally haven't checked if the game good or not?

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Honestly? Idk if I'd call any particular game this year goty- I couldn't get into E33 and Silksong had some major stinker parts of the game- all the food stuff is either a bit too small (which is fine!) for the grandiosity of the title or too late- maybe Rift of the Necrodancer.......
