Heads up! We're finally on Bluesky and should be active soon. Note that the account below is the only official SBM account. (There are others that look like they might be SBM. They aren't.)
Stay tuned. We're finally on Bluesky and hope to be up and running in early February!

49 years ago today

The Damned played at the Roxy in London on January 17, 1977, with support from Eater and The Boys.

Sorry for the synchronization issues, but this glimpse into the British punk scene of that time should make up for it.

This cannot be just swept under the rug and forgotten about now that his contract as expired, especially with him seemingly very close to a renewal up to a few weeks ago.

Now that he can officially be named and talked about I do hope that there are more questions asked to the club about how they handled the situation with Thomas Partey.

The player we can’t write about and football’s ‘systemic failure’ to deal with sexual violence
A Premier League player is representing his club despite facing accusations of sexual violence. And nobody can talk or do anything about it.

My latest on Medscape covers a recently published study that both traditional media and social media reported as being proof that Splenda increases hunger (and of course as a consequence, increases weight). Sounds scary. Unless you actually read the paper 🧵

DOJ memos are not law.
ICE can enter anyone’s home, and abduct and deport them to a foreign prison indefinitely because the DOJ says they can ignore the 4th, 5th and 15th amendments.

If there’s no due process or protections against illegal search and seizures, none of us are safe.
