Edible mushroom foraging is a huge activity here but I only hunt with my camera bc I don’t trust my ID skills to not kill us. I asked some local friends if they’d be willing to show me the ropes but they politely brushed me off—no one wants the competition!

I spent several days in my own cabin in Sweden this past week, on a quest for mushrooms. I was lucky to be guided by my partner's uncle to some choice spots, and bagged ten different edible species, including the elusive horn of plenty. Chanterelle dominated, but also wood hedgehog.
