This plus the related precarity in every basic aspect of life: housing, health, environment, food, travel. Even if you’re doing OK right now one climate disaster storm, one round of Covid, one mass shooting, one bad airplane and you’re not. Disaster is so nearby.
general simmering anger about how everything that was at least a serviceable public good at one point is being stripped to the bone and you can't really tune it out it's everywhere you look. if you're talking about people being dissatisfied with a "good" economy i think this makes up a lot of that

So many people have just decided to stop caring.
It's frustrating, almost gaslight-y, to watch theoretically-mask-required spaces give up on enforcement, to get pressured to return to in-person work (where no one else is masking), etc
In a way I feel more isolated now than I did during lockdown.

I was doing fine until my psychiatrist told me “you’re young, you will find someone else” and I had to remind her I’m immunocompromised so…no…I won’t…
