Rep. Joe Neguse also thinks this is payback over Tina Peters. It's attempted extortion by Trump: pardon his friends or your institutions will be cut. Same threat he made to Indiana: redistrict or he slashes your funding. If Congress wants to keep the power of the purse they need to push back, hard.
A deeply dangerous — and blatantly retaliatory action against Colorado — by the Trump administration.

NCAR is one of the most renowned scientific facilities in the WORLD — where scientists perform cutting-edge research everyday.

We will fight this reckless directive with every legal tool we have.

So Jan 6 comes lumbering back into relevance, now demolishing US science.

Tina Peters's actions, and those of many others, were set-dressing to give people the idea there was election fraud. It was all an act, to fake-justify throwing out the electoral votes. And that's what Jan 6 was for too.

all accts which have been shared indicate they were moving, per cotton trying to upright a boat, per Himes they were waving, perhaps not incapacitated but this was by no means an act of mercy, 2nd strike shows the admin’s callousness as the 1st strike was considered a failure for not killing all

What is done to your internal organs after being in that proximity to an explosion is usually not something you survive.
Realistically, those men probably would have died later from the first blast. They were probably holding on to that debris with the last bit of life, burned and deaf.

Cotton is lying, Himes was on w/Lawrence O’Donnell saying there was no boat to upright only debris & they were probably shocked to see survivors, he questioned the account given by his ‘repub colleagues’ that boat btw wasn’t heading in a direction which would bring it anywhere near the US

Are they all watching the same video?
Tom Cotton's version sounds like bullshit. He says they were standing on a capsized boat "trying to flip it over" which is moronic.
If you just got blasted by a missle, your boat isn't doing shit anymore.
Also, your body is probably severely burned and broken.

We have an administration that takes absolute glee out of murdering people. No safety, no good policy, no peace can come from people who go out of their way to cause this much harm.

Abusive people make abusive policies and engage in abusive practices. I wish more people had a lens on that.

If the Sep. 2 boat really had "narco-terrorists" on board, questioning the survivors would have been a way to learn about how the organization worked, where more drugs were stashed, etc. But this isn't a counter-terrorism campaign. It's a shooting gallery with helpless targets.
