There was an older 80+ couple at Costco pushing empty shopping carts side-by-side so that isles were impassable around them. After I checked out and was walking out they were also walking out, shopping carts still empty. They had wasted enough man-hours today, tomorrow is another day.

it’s food! so much of it is food (and drinks if you do that), it is simply very expensive to feed a lot of people nice food at a big wedding
