Lately I've often recalled an encounter from years ago.
I was at the afterparty of a business event in Helsinki. A man wearing _a lot_ of gold jewellery - rings, thick chain, a really nice golden watch - happened to be at the bar next to me.
Looked like some of the peacekeepers I knew, so I asked.

Yeah. With such resources, with the already obvious desire to use force against political opponents - based on historical experience, if I were living in the U.S., I would leave the country now.
Or at the very least make arrangements and have a go pack with essentials close at hand at all times.

"Any time you go out of the house, have enough assets _on you_ to escape the country and bribe a border guard without having to go back home first."
