A video claimed to show 500,000 people protesting in London as part of a ‘Great British National Strike’ event over the weekend was actually filmed during a different march which took place in the capital in July 2024.

The clip, which has been circulating on several social media platforms, actually shows a separate demonstration held last summer.

It would be so helpful if you could retweet my May botanical illustration & mental health w’shop in my previous post if you have a moment. I've been unable to work since December due to a breakdown (not proud of this) & I'm trying to get back on my feet so if you could RT it would help enormously 🌿

The call for the ban on the sale of fireworks to the general public, and only setting off fireworks under license conditions in displays…

…has been reignited by a petition started by a person whose mother was killed by a firework which started a house fire.

Today, I thought I’d share a glimpse of Wells Cathedral captured in a 1000 photographs. It reveals the exquisite play of light as the sun traces its path across the façade. A celebration of colour and time, available as a digital print here: andymarshallphotos.co.uk/products/wel...

I've lost 500+ followers on Tw*tter since the US election. Most have gone in the last 3 days. My reach there is still good, but I wonder how long that will last. I've reconnected w/ folk on bsky who migrated 12-18 months ago. Feels like 2015 again but a long way to go as my following is still small.

For my first thread on Bluesky I’m delving into the not-always-sexy world of local government finance

Stay with me though, because it will show how local councils and the communities that they serve have been decimated over recent years and why change is so badly needed
