Well said @sachinnakrani.bsky.social. Behold the brilliance of @donmcrae.bsky.social & Jill Mead - the Bonnie & Clyde of broad sheet features.
A typically great @donmcrae.bsky.social interview with champion jockey Oisin Murphy in today’s Guardian, with what is, without doubt, the best/coolest-photograph-alongside-an-interview I’ve seen in my 18 years here. Was a joy in my role as print editor yesterday helping put this together.

What’s the odds on Trump landing in his chopper, firing Bradley, installing himself as captain, falsely accusing Europe of cheating, and only winning after a crowd invasion on the last singles match?

I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

It sadly shows how mypoic Starmer’s radar is. He’s incapable of striding ahead of the past and the present to forge a future.
"Bad judgement" is a very considerable understatement. Mandelson's relationship with the Putin-linked oligarch Oleg Deripaska & his lobbying activities for Peter Thiel's predatory big-data firm Palantir should also have been massive red flags.

If Yvette Cooper was still in opposition, she’d be outraged at this. Power destroys morality. Why can’t they separate the motive from the act? As @kneecapceol.bsky.social proved, the case falls apart once it moves up the legal ladder.
It's utterly mad.
These people are the opposite of terrorists.
THEY WANT PEACE.
The police know they're not terrorists.
The government knows they're not terrorists.
Yet, on the Home Secretary's orders, they're being arrested under the Terrorism Act.

Elon Musk casually, and illegally, dismantled USAID. According to a new study in the Lancet, that action will lead to *14 million* premature deaths between 2025 and 2030.

Again: Elon Musk is directly responsible for 14 million coming deaths. 4.5 million will be children.
Evaluating the impact of two decades of USAID interventions and projecting the effects of defunding on mortality up to 2030: a retrospective impact evaluation and forecasting analysis
