Have to admit it. "Alcoholic Fox News host uses US Navy to kill people at random on boats in the Caribbean because an extremist podcast producer asked him to, while Trump pardons drug dealer kingpins because a tech guy asked" is rather a lot darker than anything I imagined when he was reelected.
Sadism is the lifeblood of MAGA politics. Hard to overstate how disgusting and embarrassing for our country it is for the US Secretary of Defense to be doing this:

Cover of the day: from December 1973, a London Borough of Hillingdon consultation document on road improvements in Hayes. A great shot of the EMI factory, which dominates the scene.

BBC staff have now been banned from repeating the description of Donald Trump excised from Rutger’s Reith lecture. Makes his warning here all the more chilling.

That famous left-wing bias again
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

What’s the point of a notionally progressive party that behaves worse than a far-right party? The lesser evil argument doesn’t work when you’re even worse
