Exactly this. Only one state in the US explicitly criminalizes someone ending their own pregnancy (Nevada, only after 24 weeks). But cops in other states can and do criminalize people, typically by charging them with things like concealing a birth, or abuse of a corpse
This is why it's so hard to help people figure out how concerned they should be about ordering and taking pills in a ban state

Gentle reminder that EVERYONE shot by ICE or the police is innocent. Every single one. Cops aren't Judge Dredd. A person is innocent until proven guilty IN A COURT, so until a person is found guilty by a judge or jury, they're innocent. They're ALL innocent.
