I understand why I find body cameras, training, and partnering with the police an inadequate response to ICE, but I don’t understand how you support these solutions with policing and then reject them with ICE, and I imagine that’s the frame these legislators are working from.

Sorry Portlanders, the DA won’t lift a finger against the federal Gestapo unless the cops who use alt-right memes in their training materials ask him to.
The DA says his office will collaborate with the state attorney general for any state level investigations into federal LE actions. But adds that the county DA can only investigate cases referred to it by local law enforcement. That hasn't happened so far. (4/X)

There are clear examples of antisemitism running rampant in the US, Anglosphere more broadly, etcetera but it is very unfortunate that a sizable portion of what constitutes the anti-antisemitism institutional establishment is instead focusing on paranoid hyperactive suppression of pro-Pali speech.
