The networks could say, "He tells lies that he has been told are lies, so we're not going to air his speeches live." By any journalistic standard that would be reasonable and easy to defend. The fact that they don't tells us where we are.

What the Trump Regime did, through “DOGE” to USAID is an act of monstrous inhumanity.
NEW: Humanitarian officials staged a last-minute plea to Trump officials at their fancy hotel to re-start food aid $ for a huge refugee camp in Kenya.

The Trumpers blew it off and babies starved.

Of course, normal handshakes don't involve the back of your hand in any way, shape, or form, so this is an obvious lie even by Trumpian standards.

What health issue does Trump have that the White House is so desperate to cover up?
Q: Can you explain what's going on with the bandages on Trump's hand?

LEAVITT: We've given you an explanation. The president is literally constantly shaking hands.

The super-rich rightwing are pouring money into Reform. Do ordinary voters really think their aim is to even out social inequality and make their lives better? Do they think they’re doing it so Farage invests in infrastructure and public services? Ffs. Democracy being beaten to death in plain sight.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

This is a pretty heartbreaking story of greed and criminality and likely regulatory failures at the Charity Commission coming close to wrecking what had been a hugely heartening example of community led regeneration. Tony McGann would be heartbroken and surely furious

Obvious follow up question for a competent WH reporter: Mr President, it seems like every time you get a difficult question, especially from a our female colleagues or reporters of color you last out with unfounded personal insults rather than answering the Fucking question, so let me ask again …….

There's a weird collective self-justification among reporters on this beat that their job is not to push back but to be stoic in order to observe an endlessly fascinating natural phenomenon. It's all nonsense. He is a public servant. Demand decency, and slap back hard and fast when you don't get it.
I can’t believe people in the room don’t push back. It doesn’t matter if he’s the president, part of holding him accountable is standing up to his bullying— especially if he’s doing it right in front of your face

By mimicking Reform to win back support, the Labour government is making a serious mistake. This race to the bottom emboldens Farage, punishes vulnerable people, amplifies racism, and undermines those working to hold communities together.

Tell me, when you're engaging in PR and rebranding to improve the image of something, does it help to be very explicit about what you're doing and why, on camera, and to have the messenger be a person noted for his extreme ignorance and dishonesty?

I'm not minimizing any of the countless other reasons he should be drafting his resignation.

It's that he said this to a woman. In her workplace. In front of her colleagues. While she does her job.

It's a disgrace. He owes her an apology, and so do all of his voters, frankly.
