When leaders say "there are more important things to focus on" than the current pandemic, they are saying that there are more important things to focus on than brain injury, organ damage, long term disability in kids, immune dysfunction etc - and that sounds totally absurd if you think about it

An exception for people who need it without extensive paperwork. A multimodal space. As someone with mobility issues that relapse and remit there are times where I (& others w/ Long COVID, ME, POTS) need to lie down to be transported & car is the most accessible way…

(so more workers can vote), thinking about how to provide childcare so more workers can vote, campaign finance reform (bc so much money spent on campaigns than fixing the things people need), etc. Going out long before election season to ASK non-voters why they don’t vote and what they care about…

Maybe. I guess I just haven’t seen these mailers move the needle for anyone I know. And if we are going to have time/money/resources spent on these initiatives shouldn’t it be effective? I’d much rather it be spent on things like: work to make Election Day a holiday…

Do you really want access? Or do you just want control? Maybe ask yourself that. Cause what you just proposed doesn’t sound like you care about what is actually accessible for everyone. You just want to tell them what you think they deserve.
