Took me a bit to process how big a deal this report actually is--its thus far the only review to look at the entire body of currently available research. It took two years to conduct, stands at 1,000 pages, and completely contradicts the Cass Review and the common arguments for bans on this care.
Republicans in Utah commissioned an investigation into gender-affirming care for trans youth after banning it in 2023.

They're now rejecting the findings of that investigation which showed access to care reduced suicides and improved "positive mental health and psychosocial functioning outcomes."
Utah lawmakers’ own study found gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Will they lift the treatment ban?
The Utah Legislature's own newly-released study found that gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Now, will lawmakers lift the treatment ban?

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

Vygotsky wrote in his book "The Psychology of Art" in 1922 "Without new art there can be no new [people]." He discusses that art is the fundamental social force of society. In order to create our future, WE must make the art, NOT AI or the Capitalist Imperialists.

The reason they don't make AI a simple toggle on and off switch in all these programs is they're afraid so many people would switch it off that they would end up looking very very silly for investing so much money in it.

Who is making art about their work experiences? Is it giving you relief and catharsis, and a way to organize with other workers? Vygotsky wrote: "the feeling of pain and hardship which must be solved by art is an essential part of labor itself...It must...organize, social feeling and give relief."

1) Vygotsky explores the origin of art "that music and poetry have a common origin in heavy physical labor...the feeling of pain and hardship which must be solved by art is an essential part of labor itself...It must...organize, social feeling and give relief to painful and tormenting strain."

1) Vygotsky writes about the force of social feeling, art, catharsis: "The melting of feelings outside us is performed by the strength of social feeling, which is objectivized, materialized, and projected outside of us, then fixed in external objects of art, which have become the tools of society."

1) The "Mozart of Psychology" Lev Vygotsky describes in the 1920's how humans feel fulfillment with each other by creating and experiencing art. That we have a deep need to create art in order to expand on life's possibilities and find equilibrium. He wrote a book called "The Psychology of Art."

“United Settlers of America” would be a better word for the country. As they cover white settler projects throughout history.
