All aboard our first ever Holiday Lights Train!

This festive train, covered in holiday lights and special holiday themed messages, will run from Friday, November 28 and operate through New Year’s across our system.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social on the AirTrain right now you can get 10 and 30 day passes that cap the fare, which are used heavily by airport employees. Metro cards are going away next month but there is no word of a similar program with OMNY. What’s going to happen with airtrain fares?

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

This is a strategy we need to repeat. In the wake of Obama in 08 the Republicans invested hard in local races, including school boards. Starting their rhetoric at a hyper local level built a giant base that got us to where we are. Counteracting that requires exactly these kinds of victories.
MIDNIGHT UPDATE: Moderate/Dem-backed candidates are currently sweeping every school board race in conservative Douglas County, Colorado (home to a famous school voucher experiment). Would give moderates total 7-0 control of the school board. #copolitics

UPDATE: Dems lead every city council race in Aurora, Colorado - and could flip a 7-3 GOP majority into a 6-4 Dem edge - including what would be a shocking upset of MAGA media star Danielle Jurinsky, whose claims of a "complete gang takeover" led Trump to call Aurora "conquered." #copolitics

I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

I started watching Long Story Short in @netflix.com and then the first three minutes one of the characters is describing the Paul Simon song Obvious Child as if it was hidden camera footage of me AND also a great meta pun. I am being seen in an extremely oddly specific way. Here for it.

One of the more notable things about our present political moment is that former Republicans like Joe Walsh or the folks at the Bulwark have a more clear eyed understanding of political strategy than a significant number of long-time, moderate Democrats.
As someone who’s been a Democrat for only six weeks, I think this is such an important point. We’re either a big tent, or we aren’t. And if we are a big tent, that means progressives unite around a moderate nominee, and moderates unite around a progressive nominee. Period.👇

This is footage from today in MacArthur Park.

Minutes before, there were more than 20 kids playing — then, the MILITARY comes through.

The SECOND I heard about this, I went to the park to speak to the person in charge to tell them it needed to end NOW.

Absolutely outrageous.

I encourage you to read this great reporting by Ken Klippenstein on the buffoonery which took place in Los Angeles today. Even the "military" participants (if that's what they actually are) appear embarrassed to be participating in such a massive failure.
I've obtained a trove of leaked documents about today's federal crackdown on Los Angeles' MacArthur Park. One revelation is its codename: "Operation Excalibur"
