As Rabbi Tarfon (mostly) put it:
“Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief.
Do justly, now.
Love mercy, now.
Walk humbly, now.
You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it."

There are people who still don't understand that you can do everything right--you can do everything they tell you--and you will still be shot in the face.

Hope we can re-mantle a lot of this stuff
Before the 1990s, plane crashes caused by microbursts used to kill planeloads of people fairly regularly.

Dr. Ted Fujita and NCAR scientists figured out how to detect microbursts and warn pilots about them.

Since then? Zero airliner crashes from microbursts.

Extending aid to just one person has a ripple effect. In this case, it appears generational.

We received a stunning letter (with something special attached) this week from a man incarcerated in Virginia. We want to share it with you all.

Tldr: Books change lives. BOOKS CHANGE LIVES. And we couldn’t have helped this scholar without you. Thank you for your support.

re: roblox dude's interview crashout. the thing he wants to say but can't is "at scale, kids are gonna get hurt. that is the price for scale." the thing nobody wants to say out loud is "maybe scaling to a level where harm isn't manageable is bad, and scale should be contained"

Have they *flown* economy recently?
Did you hear about the Trump administration campaign calling for "civility" and telling people to "dress with respect" when they travel?

The damage in the hard hit areas was so severe, I'm shocked when I hear people saying it was just a hurricane, they're used to them.

Please review and send support to Jamaica if you haven't yet. The world needs more community
Jamaica more or less out of the news entirely just a few weeks after Melissa hit. It shouldn't be.

Oh, I love this. A new species of sea anemone was discovered recently that parks itself on top of a hermit crab shell like a hat. It seems to feed partly off the crab's faeces, but it also excretes a hard shell that extends the crab's home. In return, it's carried around the seafloor like a king.

Bro! (Sorry, colloquial)

Wish we could knock doors for you.

Canada, this is the NYC guy. We need him to help us (standard humans) barricade against what is coming.

Have you seen S1 Handmaid's Tale?

We need a NYC-YYZ open corridor, free trade, and a lot of love ❤️
Six days left and a whole lotta doors to knock.

Let's get it: zohranfornyc.com/gotv
