Update: 50% of @itfglobalunion.bsky.social staff in London and AP have submitted applications for what management are calling “voluntary redundancy”.

The leadership of any organisation should be worried if half of its staff would consider leaving rather than remain in their current environment.

The @itfglobalunion.bsky.social is justifying severe staff cuts on the basis of financial challenges.

A significant part of the deficit is due to management’s spending on external consultants and contracts.

AN AMAZING WIN INDEED. Whilst we had this massive win, our dispute is not over! Negotiations will follow, and we hope we can come to a meaningful agreement, but for now strikes are on! Members voted overwhelmingly for Open Day Action next Friday and Saturday!
🚨IT'S A WIN 🚨

Well done to every single @newcastleucu.bsky.social member

44 days on the picket line

ZERO compulsory redundancies

University bosses need to look at what our members have achieved in Newcastle & heed the warning: work with us or face disruption

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

Canada was a colonial project that forced Indigenous people into reserves and stole their children from their mothers legally under the Indian Act of 1876. To suggest racism is a new concept because "woke" is both ahistorical and asinine. White supremacists love revisionism
Pierre Poilievre says Canadians are too obsessed with race because of “wokeism” and agrees with Jordan Peterson that Canada essentially had to invent and import racism because it didn’t exist here before recent decades.

Canada is so fucked if this guy forms government.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. saw an 18.1% increase in homelessness this year, with more than 770,000 people counted as homeless.
