The problem is this is still true at a 250% tariff, so Apple is a bit stuck here.

I’m not sure getting rid of the principal of consent would:
1. Survive either the Human Rights Act or ECHR
2. Be remotely wise at a time when parliament is separately considering introducing assisted dying. Maybe don’t change several major medical norms at once?

I have no issues with increasing the harshness of penalties for abusers to be honest. Having already seen the previous government push through x-rays for unaccompanied asylum seeking children, I think there do need to be concerns raised about setting any precedent of ignoring medical consent though.
