puerto rico should become a state because they’d probably be a swing vote in the EC and the feds would shower them in appropriations
I really genuinely want to know what PR independence people think would ensure a higher quality of living without statehood because a lot of people who don't live on the island seem convinced the American boot is all that stands in the way of sovereign prosperity and it sounds like bullshit.

I have to say I am a little annoyed by the "soft focus/shallow depth of field = cinematic" way of thinking that is so prevalent in S3 The White Lotus. It's a good show, but man is it frustrating at times to look at.
