”He’s behind me, isn’t he?” - Mary Magdalene outside Jesus’ empty tomb.
“The Marvel Universe of faith” somehow offends me on a visceral level despite being a Marvel fan and pretty tolerant religiously on the whole.

"The AI Bible is a way to really bring these stories to life in a way that people have never seen before. Think of if we were like, the Marvel Universe of faith," said one of the site's creators.

I’m sorry to inform you all that young Trotskyist Starmer was a massive hypocrite who expressed open anti-Mancunian sentinment at a socialist lawyers’ conference in Russia.
i'm pretty sure young Trotskyist Starmer would hate PM Starmer
unbelievable weasel of a man, a failed government barely a year after being elected, and a disgrace to Labour's heritage. the cabinet should commit collective seppuku to erase their dishonor.

“And I looked, and beheld a pale backup dancer: and his name that sat on him was PSY, and Gangnam followed him.

And power was given unto them over the fourth part of YouTube, to kill weeaboos with the sword…”
a big part of this is the Hallyu wave i think along with Psy's success with GANGNAM STYLE a bit later
There’s definitely a timing element to this as well, though - Korean media was way more niche across the board until like the last 10-15 years, J-Pop was bigger before that

This is an anti-DoorDash move that should and probably will be used to hold Deliveroo to account when they ignore the information and continue to exploit sub-minimum wage migrant labour to depress gig economy wages (already dire) and build their empire of treatlers.
“Our enlightened ‘socialist’ government’s highest priority is to make sure your DoorDasher is not an illegal” every developed country deserves a severe recession and Britain in particular should be sunk into the sea.

This framing is misleading: there is no “versus”. Pork for pensioners is a black hole that consumes most political capital in this country, and the main point of tension is how much extra pork pensioners should get. (1/2)
people talk about South Korea as the future of American politics but I think we're all sleeping on UK-style "Pensioners v Everybody"

Funniest example of this I've seen is around the 2 minute mark of this steamed hams video, in which the model interprets every camera movement as "pan out to reveal a larger, more impressive space within Skinner's house": www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUv_...

"Once more the Sith will rule the galaxy, and we shall have peace." -Darth [Sidious] the Dove
"Galactic inflation was lower under the Empire, bring back Palpatine"
A far more realistic ending to RISE OF SKYWALKER is like half the Galaxy going "hell yeah! Palpatine is back!" And actively supporting him.

“But he did not want modest Queen Anne or beautiful Chippendale. That sort of thing was not in his line. Instead, he demanded Empire furniture. They gave it to him. In addition they gave him furniture of the period following close after the Empire, massively gilt…”

It's just so appalling what he's done to the Oval Office

I swear, it's a matter of time before he starts wearing medals and epaulets

Out of habit, I sought to check the 538 polls today.

Introducing a Private Members' Bill to increase corporation tax but it will pass this time because it's called the "Scrounger Benefits Snyder Cut (Thatcher edition)"
raise taxes for fucks sake
All 404 Labour MPs summoned to Downing Street to discuss benefit cuts

Living in an older, ageing democracy saps the spirit. The desire to address the challenges of the day (outside of pensions) seems weak, almost absent. The short-termism hurts domestically and puts the nation at risk of invasion, and those most responsible for it may not live to see the consequences.

Finally made the jump after watching the Seventh Seal and realising my mood was still higher than whenever I'm on the bird app. I'll keep tabs on it but expect this to be a permanent move.
