As a member of the white working class. Most of my colleagues growing up that were white were, in fact, very racist. When you say "fair minded and struggling" that's why they are useful. In their struggles it's easy to make them lash out at minorities. They won't feel racist for doing it, but it is.

Republicans won’t talk about it but Democrats refuse to let that happen.
