To anyone who wondered, what could go wrong if we elected as president a highly volatile, deeply dishonest, simple-minded cretin with a revenge fetish, the answer is THIS. All of THIS.

🧵 There are a lot of misleading claims out there about the SAVE Act. Let me set the record straight: I voted for the SAVE Act for the simple reason that American elections are for Americans. Requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote is common sense.

Hello, Congress. Are you really going to go along with this tariff fiasco? Use your power.

Good day to remember that a US President has no inherent power over tariffs whatsoever. It’s not like war powers or pardons. It’s entirely delegated by Congress to deal with emergencies. GOP Congress cld modify that law tonight and bring this to a screeching halt.

An enterprising Democrat would recognize an opportunity to accuse the president of being soft on crime.
NEW: President Trump's pledge to deport millions of immigrants has pulled thousands of federal agents and investigators away from investigating drug trafficking, sexual abuse and many other types of crimes.

Horrific: One of the USAID programs Trump just terminated was set to deliver lifesaving treatment to hundreds of thousands of starving kids abroad. Much of it is now sitting in a Georgia warehouse.

Rubio's promise to preserve urgent assistance was a lie.

Like… they’re lecturing him??

It was sadly inevitable...
In the midst of the hasty work done by Musk and his teenagers, who are not trained to be sensitive to NATIONAL SECURITY concerns nor likely care about them, they just likely outed many intelligence agents, putting them at risk and destroying their capabilities.
New via NYT — The CIA sent the White House an unclassified email listing all employees hired by the spy agency over the last two years to comply with an executive order to shrink the federal work force. One former agency officer called the reporting of names a “counterintelligence disaster.”

Democrats, this weekend is D-Day. You must go out tomorrow, take up as much space in media as possible, get in front of cameras, shout at the top of your lungs. None of this "egg prices!" stuff either. The narrative has to be "Trump and Musk are seizing the government and pursuing retribution."
1/ Danger afoot

First Trump pardons those who attack law enforcement in his name

Now: FBI DC Field Office person "relayed to a colleague that supervisors had told agents to prepare for the White House to PUBLICLY RELEASE the names of the agents who worked on the two Trump criminal cases on Monday"
Justice Department orders FBI purge, review of staff who touched Trump cases
Leaders appointed by the Trump administration are identifying potentially hundreds of FBI agents for possible termination, said people familiar with the plan.

Donald Trump fired the head of TSA, illegally fired the entire Aviation Security Advisory Committee, put a hiring freeze on FAA air traffic controllers, and is trying to get other federal employees (including air traffic controllers) to quit.
