Listen to the bosslady:
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

I'll never forget how a bunch of influencers were like "Project 2025 isn't real, Trump said so" before the election and now everything from Project 2025 is happening and people won't even connect the dots because so few people are willing to read a 922 page document

Like @aoc.bsky.social said, it's going to be all this, all the time, except on BlueSky. Everything else is operated as a right-wing propaganda machine.
An update on the TikTok situation from our monitoring on Reddit. Now you get TOS'ed for saying negative comments about meta and Zuckerberg, left-wing politics get flagged as misinformation, and you can't tag #fucktrump #fuckelon or #fuckmeta but you CAN tag #fuckbiden and #fuckkamala

Now that TikTok has officially gone dark, I’m re-upping my post from a few days ago to remind folks that this praise for Trump is wrong.

It was never about the price of eggs. It was always about contracts and regulatory relief and crony capitalism. It was about turning money into power and power into more money. They are not for us. And they aren’t pretending any longer.

🚨 A truly stunning thing happened yesterday.

Timing so perfect that I wouldn’t dare put it in one of my novels, because no one would believe it.

You know, there actually isn’t any law of nature that prevents a Democrat - even Joe Biden! even Kamala Harris! - from going out and saying “The new president is launching a fraudulent investment scam days before entering office and should be considered fundamentally disqualified for this position”
Holy shit I assumed this was more NFTs but it’s specifically a *fungible* asset meaning he’s selling his own crypto coin. On top of that, it has a crazy fucking disclaimer and all the hallmarks of a fucking rugpull. This is fucking nuts.
When you compulsively turn everything into a grift so you can bleed money from your supporters but also don’t really understand what a meme is conceptually:

But, remember, friends, it was a Biden admin guy who sent an angry email to Facebook because Instagram accidentally stopped allowing them to get new followers that's the REAL controversy.

At least according to the headlines I keep seeing.
So the owners of CBS News are considering paying money directly to the president to get better regulatory treatment from his administration?

You do not have to consume every single tiny piece of bad news in order to be a good person. It’s ok to miss things. Traumatizing yourself isn’t the same as activism. Bearing witness to the point that you’re paralyzed with fear and horror and fury isn’t going to help us get through this.
Remember their goal is to terrorize us. And social media is a fantastic way to spread terror. We don’t have to help them.
Based on the vibes of my timeline today I’m feeling like the next two weeks are probably gonna be a really good time to reduce social media use as much as possible. Because YIKES.

A reminder that someone with Hegseth’s history - public drunkenness, serial adultery, financial fraud, extremism - would not pass a routine background check to work at the Pentagon.
Hegseth, here on camera, says he was denied the ability to serve over concerns of his extremism raised by his own unit, HIS FELLOW SOLDIERS.

If this isn't disqualifying I am not sure what is.
Hegseth: "I volunteered to guard the inauguration of Joe Biden but was denied the opportunity to serve because I was identified as an extremist by my own unit for a Christian tattoo." (Hegseth at the time was a January 6 hype man on Fox)
