I know that I’m a Canadian and the ICE kidnappings are supposed to be “not my problem” because they are happening in another country but I could not help but cry when considering all the suffering.
Watching the speech tonight by Zohran Mamdani reminded me how incredibly boring the federal leadership race is for the NDP. I can’t even be bothered to decide who to vote for and don’t tell me it’s because we’re underdogs.

Ladies, you can tell a lot about a man by the way dogs react to him. For instance, if the Police K9 is biting him, he may not be the one.

I survived the "Hallway to Hell"! All of the nurses and Docs were angels but stretchers in the hallway with no bathrooms or call bells, lights on all night, and doors banging open and shut all night in a "civilized country"? Do better. #yxe

Watching One Battle After Another - this is a must see movie in the theater. I don’t know if I’ve ever watched an American/Hollywood movie with this feel or this message. It’s making me consider my own choices as a socialist and an activist. I’m not even sure if I can describe it.

As someome who personally survived the intergenerational effects of residential school in a family, today is a hard day for me. I appreciate the public awareness but it brings up so much sadness.

Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

Matthew Dowd was fired from MSNBC for stating that Charlie Kirk pushed hate speech. Brian Kilmeade just called for homeless people to be given lethal injections live on air and Fox is not firing him.

The left and the right are not the same.

I knew things would get bad and weird, I did not anticipate however that mainstream media would immediately coalesce around a fictional concept of Kirk that all but ignores what exactly made him popular with MAGA, and very rich.

I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.

Is the Wall Street Journal going to issue an apology for their headline this morning that turned out to be completely false conflating Tyler Robinson with the Transgender movement? This comment, scratched on the spent shell casing has nothing to do with being Transgender.

Friendly reminder that $100 million is 10% of the ENTIRE budget of ALL of healthcare in Saskatchewan for one year. Remember that when you’re in a hospital that doesn’t have adequate staffand your elderly mom is a bed in the hallway.

While I agree that the provincial government should have done more to help Richmound sooner (& I’m NO fan of Premier Moe), this opposition member is also part of the government, & could have been more vocal much sooner as well.

Plenty of us WERE raising the alarm from the start. Why not the NDP?
