“Just stay home” is not a public health strategy.

Non disabled people were livid during stay at home orders. They found the idea of being forced to stay home unpalatable, yet they’re only too happy to demand the disabled do it for the rest of our lives.

Clean air & masking make spaces accessible.
Got into a fight with a NURSE who we asked to give us a little distance when we were at a picnic table eating. We told her we’re were trying to be Covid safe because I’m at risk. She said I should have just stayed home. I said at risk people should be socially isolated and lonely AND SHE SAID YES

Dr Oz: “It’s patriotic duty of Americans to take care of themselves. It’s important for serving in military & healthy people don’t consume healthcare resources”

They’re all eugenicists. They only care about if you can pay taxes & serve in military.

If you “consume resources”? You’re expendable

uh what the FUCK
“The FDA may choose not to publicize an outbreak, including when the cause is unknown or when officials are still working behind the scenes with the companies responsible”

This feels like the food borne illness equivalent of the disastrous covid policy “if we don’t test there’s no pandemic”
A deadly E. coli outbreak hit 15 states, but the FDA chose not to publicize it
The outbreak linked to romaine lettuce killed one person and sickened at least 88 more, including a 9-year-old boy who nearly died of kidney failure.

Oh so now he's admitting they in fact ARE looking and planning to cut Medicaid SPECIFICALLY, after having called Dems hysterical

Having the lie being confirmed isn't surprising but I'm still so hopping spitting fucking angry. Jfc.
Thune estimated that if Republicans made Medicaid recipients work, it would save $10 billion over 10 years. He also said that they were looking at cutting $880B out of Medicaid in 10 years. He didn’t say where the other $780B would come from. Nursing homes? Low income kids & families medical care..?

The entire RFK Jr quote is terrible, but look what he led with.

“These are kids who will never pay taxes. Never hold a job”.

That’s where his priorities lie. Ensuring people can be good capitalist soldiers. If you can’t work, you’re useless.

We are more than our economic contributions. Much more
The full quote from RFK, Jr. is truly disgusting and this is 100% him calling for institutionalization of autistic people. This is horrifying.

I've given Senate Majority Leader John Thune the makeover he so desperately seems to crave. Complicity suits him, no?

Rage at Dem leadership is VERY deserved, but Thune+Speaker Mike Johnson have the power to limit Trump, choose not to, and obstruct others' attempts to.

Hold them accountable.

Healthcare, social security, medical research, disability supports & public health are all under attack.

Want to fight back? Wear a mask.

It only takes one infection to end up severely disabled. A mask protects you and those around you.

It’s easier to resist when you have your health.

“The best way you can include the disability community in resistance efforts is to ensure they’re accessible. Often we want to participate only to find out that masks aren’t required, an event is being held in a space that isn’t accessible and/or online options aren’t being provided”

🇨🇦 Cannot understate how important it is to know that the practice of solidarity with disabled people is anti-fascist
“Covid is only a risk to the vulnerable”.

The comfortable lie that allowed most of the world to rush back to normal. To ignore a global pandemic that’s killing and disabling millions.

Tossing the “vulnerable” aside for comfort paved the way for fascism.

Wear a mask. Stand with disabled people.

One of the best ways you can help us fight mask bans is to wear a mask.

Wear it to show solidarity with disabled and vulnerable people.

Wear it to stand up to fascism.

Wear it to protect your health for the battle ahead.

The more people masking, the harder they are to ban. Normalize masking!

The pandemic conditioned people to see the disabled as acceptable losses

Once you sacrifice an entire group of people, it gets easier for fascism to take hold.

The Spanish flu gave way to Nazis, where the disabled were the first people killed.
