The infrastructure for our current political renegotiation of course predates Obama. It also redacted Regan. But that it took so long to reach its apotheosis suggests that a very special catalyst was needed.

I believe there’s a strong case that Obama was that catalyst.

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.

Massive escalation at the ICE facility. Federal agents made multiple arrests (at least 4), threw out gas, and shot tons of pepper balls.
