Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

When I see folks who claim to be Christian lose their minds over Bishop Budde's plea for the marginalized, I realized I missed the "Screw everyone who isn't you" part of the Bible. Also the folks who despise cancel cuture and champion free speech seem flummoxed.

No one who hasn't shared or donated to this gofundme is allowed to talk about Disco Elysium ever again.

I know! I'm poor too. I don't always eat either.

Twitter, Meta, and Tiktok are all state media now. They will suppress and censor narratives, beliefs, and views opposed by the administration.

Act accordingly. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Instagram hides search results for 'Democrats'
Meta says it is working quickly to resolve the problem, which has prompted accusations of bias on social media.

A German citizen on Tiktok warns US users about the similarities between Hitler’s rise to power & Trump’s collision with Tiktok, goes viral, then when her prophecy comes true, the video is removed for community guidelines violation.

Draw your own conclusions.

Just spent 10 minutes in a chat with Google support to get the new Gemini "AI" features disabled on our workspace account. For some reason they have a hidden config menu you need them to turn on if you want to disable it. No warning, they just defaulted this nonsense to on on the 15th.

"A request made through ChatGPT, an AI-based virtual assistant, consumes 10 times the electricity of a Google Search"

This isn't a game. This is accelerated destruction via huge usage of power, water, resources etc. Stop using it - especially for messing about!!

AI has an environmental problem. Here’s what the world can do about that.
The sprawling data centres that house AI servers churn out toxic electronic waste and are voracious consumers of electricity, which in most places is still produced from fossil fuels.

Wages. They're trying to use it to solve having to pay wages.

taking revenge against evil in the name of preventing future harm is literally the plot of star wars. (among many other heroic stories)

"destroying the death star makes you just as bad as the empire" is just... look, even the jedi weren't that dumb.

I very highly recommend logging into your account and going to Settings > Data & Privacy > Personalized Shopping.

If you're reading this, turn that off RIGHT NOW before you forget.

ngl in light of all the troll/discourse bots showing up on bsky, remember that you do not owe anyone a response. You do not owe anyone online your time or attention, and replying to people is not an obligation. If you don't feel joy talking to someone here, just mute/block them and move on.

This feels like a nice refresh, having a smaller list of people I’m following rather than the bloat my twitter became… and not feeling guilty about unfollowing people that, while I may enjoy their content, they’ve hit 3 strikes with posts that don’t gel for me so buh-bye 🥲
