NZ solar power generation up 31% in 2023, 52% in 2024, 61% in 2025. Long may it continue. Still only 1.9% of total power generation to there is plenty of remaining scope.

The 4th quarter of 2025 is likely to come in at the lowest emissions and highest renewable proportion on record.

Instead of sitting in your comfortable chair mouthing off into a microphone, why don't you go out and get a job building block retaining walls. Then see how long your body will hold out and if you can still do that past 65. You are a really spoiled brat!
Ben is basically a libertarian and I can’t agree that retirement itself is stupid.

But he’s right that 65 is too young to get social security. We can’t afford it anymore.

Medicare though needs a different solution. Raising the retirement age won’t fix why it’s expensive.
