I'm going to repeat it here for any of us who forget: RNZ's charter is to serve the public interest - not pretend it is a centrist or bipartisan voice. There is a deep rot in NZ media at the moment, and we should all be very afraid of where it is going.

Defend democratic, cultural and educational institutions. Call out abuses of democratic principles and human rights. Refuse pre-emptive compliance. Join collective actions, locally and internationally. Boycott and strike when possible.

These fucking projects – stadia, convention centres, tunnels – are just NZ’s big infrastructure companies looking for structures to infra; we don’t need these things… but they need them to turnover the millions they feel is their job to turn over (and get paid enormous salaries for). It’s all fake.

The impending repeal of the Therapeutics Goods Act 2023 will further enhance the damage - there will be no regulatory oversight of medicines in NZ beyond the Medicines Act 1981.
The damage done to Pharmac by David Seymour may be irreparable.

A party with less than 10% of the vote gutting our prescriptions to become a 'fund this medicine if it means increased GDP' model, weaken overall bargaining power, and allow private pharmaceutical companies avenues to sell meds here.
