Do UK voters see a trade-off between electoral integrity and turnout? Jeffrey A. Karp argues that beliefs about fraud and ideology, not turnout concerns, best predict support for photo ID. Read OPEN ACCESS: buff.ly/r2FnjwH

Around this threshold, assignment to new parties is as good as random. So, presumably, I could use this design but swap turnout for fragmentation.

I presented this at @psaepop.bsky.social and showed that adding a 3rd party to a 2 party race increase fragmentation by ≈0.7 effective parties.

Back from @psaepop.bsky.social at @universityofexeter.bsky.social still buzzing⚡️

Got the chance to present my work on moving out and populist attitudes, and learned so much from inspiring research.

Wonderful people and discussions, such a boost to start my last PhD year in my second home 🇬🇧

Horrifying moment of this #EPOP so far: realising that election studies will not just have to ask people what website people use for news, but whether they use ChatGPT and friends to help them understand politics, up to and including which party to vote for
