In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a Florida home, pledging it would be his principal residence. Seven weeks later, he attested a neighboring property would also be his principal residence.

In reality, he does not seem to have lived in either home.
Trump’s Own Mortgages Match His Description of Mortgage Fraud, Records Reveal
The Trump administration has argued that Fed board member Lisa Cook may have committed mortgage fraud by declaring more than one primary residence on her loans. We found Trump once did the very thing ...

If we want to actually be a representative democracy, then the platform needs to be institutional reform. All the Popularism and all the policies follow from that, not the other way around.
- DC/PR/USVI statehood
- Enlarging the House
- MMDs
- New VRA
- Totally revamping SCOTUS: bsky.app/profile/mcop...
- Automatic universal voter registration
- Rewriting the "national emergency" laws: bsky.app/profile/mcop...
- Subordinating the Senate: bsky.app/profile/mcop...
Etc.
👇🎯💯

Again, the needs to be & all the committees & commissions that want to Do A Popularism & focus on Kitchen Table Issues are engaged in a category mistake about What Democrats Must Do the next time they ever have power.

It’s hard to overstate how few Americans knew even the smallest amount of information about the 2nd amendment until the late 1970s. bsky.app/profile/seth...
In May of 1954 the Commander of the Navy Reserve Army in Salem, OR awarded medals to a group of junior riflemen. He asked the assembled crowd if they knew what the 2nd Amendment was. Crickets. Not a single person in the audience knew what it was. Imagine that.

It's because she doesn't know how to be the head of CBS News. Just no clue what a person in this role does. Similar to how Pete Hegseth and Sean Duffy don't know how to be cabinet secretaries.

A hallmark of this movement is people being out of their depth. It says, "expertise is unnecessary."
