Monday's sky. A lot going on, in a quiet way.

Eastern skyline at sunrise full of color. See those mountains in the lower right? Yep, we're heading for Aspen Peak at 8,100 ft. You ready? Between every two pine trees...look it up. A perfect day to hike and climb, overcast skies to start, Fall colors dotting the pines the whole way up...already at 7,000-ish feet here. One old-timer Ponderosa Pine stands across the valley from the Gambel Oaks, Aspens and Maples... A small stand of Aspens on the north slope of Hayden peak kept catching my eye.

Quick Atlin getaway this weekend - a couple hours of slightly chilly manual labour, a burger and a beer with a friend, and a night in an unheated cabin, swathed in down. 👌
