Democratic appointees in dissent said the move is “unconscionably irreconcilable with our Nation’s constitutional guarantees.”

This is so incredibly moronic. Now 8000 American jobs are likely lost, just to what...fill an ICE quota?

This is just going to erode trust from the S. Korean govt after pledging $150B investments in the US. Why would any company want to build here. He wants to bring manufacturing to the US but then pulls this shit where workers are chained & shackled? They should pull out—foreign employees are at risk.

so disheartening to see 70+ years of work to bolster American global power, influence

completely unravel

as we are no longer the torchbearer of freedom and democracy

and have become the laughing stock of the world
Don't judge Xi Jinping's summitry by either photo ops or outcomes. Just the fact that his aims are clear and achievable, and the West's are not, was enough, Marc Champion writes.

But Trump’s second term is changing the way history works — now, all three are shifting at once.

You're exactly right Jenna
Today, I stand with the Epstein survivors.
We need to listen to these women. We need to believe them. Not Ghislaine Maxwell, not Speaker Johnson or Nancy Mace, and not the president. They've been silenced for decades and need our support as they stand at the Capital steps and tell their stories.

Feels a little ironic to be bumping this up right now, but there's still a lot of work to be done, including unwinding Project 2025.
Okay, we don't have anything on there yet, but wanted to share this again -

this is how everyone - including the media - should be treating RFK Jr, and every MAGA lie spreader

when we talk about taking this country back, it has to start with the re-establishment of an objective reality based on fact and truth

lies need to always be called out and roundly rebuked

fwiw, my advice to scientists and researchers

make plans for how research and studies may be salvaged or otherwise restarted in a post-trump, post-maga America

there's no doubt the damage already done may be too great in many instances

but if at all possible, document and save your research
August 27, 2025 at 8:37 PM
make no mistake - there will be a post-trump democracy 2.0 in America

when that happens, there will be accountability

we're keeping receipts

if you broke the law, your oath to the constitution under the trump administration

you will feel the full weight of your crimes

since musk stole our data

when we get to democracy 2.0 in this country, it's only fair we take all of his data

everything learned by spacex, starlink, and tesla (including all the spectacular failures) should be given to the government (NASA) and all of musk's American competitors
