Heritage president Kevin Roberts, in a truly revealing passage of his Foreword to the Project 2025 policy agenda, states that the project of “dismantling the administrative state” is not about the actual size of government at all.

The goal is to cut “the secret lifeblood of the Great Awokening.”
My sense, from the swamp that is Twitter, is that this may be ideological: these folks have talked themselves into the idea that American liberalism is wholly synthetic, entirely the product of government money diverted into 'George Soros' projects, illegal immigrants voting, etc. and so on. 4/

For years economists told us that the country would face a recession under President Biden. It never happened.

Just six weeks into Trump's term, however, we are now on the verge of economic turmoil.

"You have hot chocolate for breakfast and hot chocolate for lunch. You wear pajamas and snow pants. You trespass with abandon, as neighbors’ hills and public streets become fair game." We're going to give that up for a day of online quasi-school? Really?
In Defense of Snow Days
Inconvenient? Yep. Unpredictable? Sure. Disruptive? Yes. But a snow day is also a minor civic miracle, and we ought to treat it as such.

At Cabaret yesterday, Cliff said his line “…if you’re not against all this then you’re for it. Or you might as well be”. The audience interrupted the scene to applaud that line so strongly it stopped the show. Doing a show about the onset of fascism right now is. . . chilling.

He’s the only candidate for president in American history who refused to accept the will of the people.

He committed crimes trying to overthrow the election.

He incited a violent attempt to overthrow the election.

A people that truly cared about democracy would’ve made him a pariah. Shame on us.

The internet was supposed to spread information and elevate our understanding of the world. Instead it turned us into a primitive people, reliant on folk stories.
