This is my brother-in-law, Steve from Ladner BC. He is married to my sister, Darla. This photo was taken at our place in Ontario in June. Steve had never been further east than Calgary before this.

Steve is 65 next month. He has just learned he has terminal cancer. Grandpa, Dad, husband, friend.

Most of us have no idea of how things are going and what the plan to get a trade deal is.

It's frustrating of course to see Trump be Trump. At this point, I see Carney doing what needs to be done. It's not satisfying to watch. Few Canadians like Trump.

I grew up going to Zabar's. So many of my childhood memories center around the best lox in NYC (which is saying something). With Saul Zabar's passing today, the Upper West Side has lost a legend who turned his parent's humble store into a culinary institution.
