What’s the funniest reason someone got mad at you on Bluesky this year?

Farewell, MetroCard, I perfected the swipe.

Hopefully in early 2026 I’ll be back living in NYC, so all of this really is relevant to my life

wrong. living in New York City is about frantically swiping your metrocard as your train arrives, repeatedly getting an error, and in the span of a half second evaluating whether you still have the athleticism to jump a turnstile. if you don’t like that then move to fucking Boston.
the amount of sad you should feel about the retirement of the NYC Metrocard should be like “mildly wistful pre-nostalgia” — more than that, IMO, is kinda silly

I hate this country, I hate this administration, I hate everyone who supports mass murdering children
Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

My main takeaway from this is that Pornhub doesn’t know how old millennials are.
Maybe generational divides are real

I cooked my own Thanksgiving meal and forgot to take a photo of everything when it was all done 😕

It was super good though

Wow this interview is SO much worse than I thought it would be.

This is bleak as fuck.
This interview is a snapshot into where tech companies are with online harassment right now.

They know how to end it, but they decided not to spend the money. They’re prioritizing growth (and profit) above all else. And they’re blaming YOU for logging on to the platform they designed to be unsafe.

Okay I did NOT know that Simon Hayes was the production sound mixer for Wicked Part 1 and now I cannot stop laughing. He is just the king of live-on-set singing, damn.

Goes without saying that this was a lot more effective in Wicked than in Cats or Les Mis.

I want to watch The Sopranos, I really do, but I’ve tried 2 or 3 times and have never gotten past the first season. I don’t even know why I haven’t kept going, maybe I lose interest? I don’t know.

Pluribus episode 3: still not sure. I liked the last scene. Not sure about the rest.

Deep cut: the theme to Pluribus reminds me of the unknown theme of Jonathan Schwartz’s show on NPR.

Massive eye rolling on my part, seeing breathily excited YouTube reviews of Pluribus from people who think Vince Gilligan can do no wrong.

They should have named Pluribus ‘Apocalypse Maybe’.

Skeptical about this one, might not be for me. I’ll give it a few more episodes because several other shows I watch just ended / went on hiatus, but 2 episodes in and I am not convinced.

“Surely you exaggerate!”

Saw an amateur “musical” tonight and it was among the worst things I’ve ever seen. And I went to Hampshire, I am no stranger to failed art.

It was not so bad it was funny (it was just bad) but we did finally get to laugh about how bad it was in the parking lot.

Nobody cares but The Nightmare Before Christmas can be both a Halloween and Christmas movie. It’s not the Die Hard binary.
