I'm here for the Dodgers, Lakers, and Broncos stuff (and politics, of course). Father of 3. I like to garden. I'm a recent convert and big fan of alt-country.

Don't give up. Never give up.

Being stoned out of my mind for the first Blade movie. That blood sprinkler scene hits different when you're high.

And holy hell, we saw The Exorcist when it was re-released. Scared the hell out of me. Blair Witch gets honorable mention in this category.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

This is sad news. The Mavericks are pretty great. Their cover of "Are you sure Hank done it this way?" is splendid. The alt country world has lost some big timers lately with Todd Snider passing last month and now Mr. Malo. RIP.

My tiny fisted outrage and ode to my "Jack Morris Conundrum" I made up today. If Jeff Kent, Bobby Grich & Lou Whitaker better find their way in soon. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk @jayjaffe.bsky.social

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar

I'll throw this out there.. AI is useful for things like maximizing the SEO/gaming the algorithms when I post shit for sale on eBay. It's great for simplifying mundane tasks like that. I just don't need it every freaking where.
He absolutely was trying that, but his tweet there (with screenshots in the comments) hasn't attracted any of the attention he hoped it would.

Duffy is still pissed that an absolute nasty slob banged his wife.
Sean Duffy: "Dressing with respect -- whether it's a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better which encourages us to maybe behave a little better. Let's try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport."

I'm sorry, but this might be the dumbest fucking idea I've ever seen. Like I get the "do it because it can be done" aspect of it, but why in the hell would you want to watch an HD show on an old ass 13" analog television?

Jose Ramirez is one of those dudes that you know is really good and then you find yourself looking at his stats on bbref one day and say "Holy crap, he's like a top 5 position player right now"
Effectively Wild mentioned Jose Ramirez being the leader in MVP award shared without ever having won the actual MVP, so I looked up the leaders for both MVP and Cy Young shares without ever having won the award-

Maybe they could try bringing back Jalapeño Cheese bagels and not having their bagels suck in general. Panera bagels were never all-star bagels, but they were solid, above replacement level bagels. Now they are sub replacement level and the variety sucks ass.
Once the top U.S. fast-casual chain, Panera has dipped to number three, falling behind Chipotle and Panda Express.

Now, to try to win back consumers, the chain plans to reinvest in the business and undo many previously implemented cost-cutting measures, it said Tuesday.

Grey Lady. Cool ass name, but the whole "not a lady" thing kind of ruins it.
Your GI JOE name is the color of your shirt followed by your first pet's name.

Seeing that the 2024 Biden/Harris campaign(s) never touched on his awful COVID response and the media memory holed it, this is one of his better lies. I mean, he's fucking wrong, but no one held him accountable so why not lie?
Trump: "We got hit with covid, remember. And we did a great job with covid."

Remember when they used to lie about not wanting undocumented immigrants here because they broke the law? And folks like the NY Times interviewed them in coffee shops and said it was economic anxiety? It was the racism, you morons.

The president might have raped children & they don't care.
The same dudes who whine about men being the "protectors"...

"Who cares about protecting women and children if I can't be rac_ist!"

Given the fickleness of our electorate in this country, I'm still skeptical that this will break through (he's Teflon Don for a reason). But holy crap, when stuff like this pops up in Facebook feeds for the normies, the GOP concern level has to be elevated.
