Note: Now that the Pride flag is an official city government flag, many schools and cities across the US with Pride flag bans can now fly it.

1. Missoula, Montana has cleverly voted to defy the Pride flag ban by making the it "an official city flag."
This comes after a law banned the flying of the flag but made an exception for "official flags."

San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles became safe havens for queers after WW II because of the Navy bases. Many sailors didn't want to return to their small town closets. So they settled there. Soon came the bars.

Hegseth has ordered that the USNS Harvey Milk, named for the iconic gay rights icon, be renamed. Harvey Milk served as a diving officer and later as a diving instructor for four years in the U.S. Navy. That this would happen at the start of Pride is intentional.

Sorry if some of my retweets are negative. I feel these are important things to be aware of, as well as reasons for us to keep fighting for our rights. LGBTQ+ people, especially those of color, aren’t seen as human by those in charge. We have to keep going. Pride is a riot at heart. Remember that.
