Los Angeles is not a stranger to this sort of thing. I’m proud of them and afraid for them both.
The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets.

These are not people who planned to do this today. But there they are.

It’s hard to express just how MUCH this will matter for thousands of women.
This is such an important shift. For many years the catholic church withheld support for HPV vaccination which prevents cervical cancer.
119,000 women die from this cancer in Africa every year.
This full throated support of the HPV vaxx by the church will help uptake.
