We have to get rid of Jeffries and Schumer. We have to. It’s unendurable that these men are the most prominent Democrats of the moment. They are two of the most broadly undistinguished men I could imagine in politics, zero fire, zero fight, zero zeal, machine politicians with sinecures.

Man, I was hoping taking the day off posting would make me feel better, but damn. I’m in a dark place right now.

In case anyone was considering it, I advise against making intellectual arrogance your primary personality defect and then being wrong about everything.

They need all protestors to be paid operatives because they cannot abide the possibility that somewhere in the world, people sincerely believe in standing up for others. It isn’t enough that they’ve chased all moral virtue from their own hearts. They want a world where no virtue exists in anyone.
Trump on Renee Good: "When she was shot, there was another woman that was screaming 'Shame. Shame Shame Shame.' So loud. Like a professional opera singer. She was so loud. And so professional. She wasn't a woman that was hurt like, 'Oh my heart is injured.' She was a professional."

at some point you have to see it as a psychological issue. the people who run this country are cowards. the media who reports on them are cowards. they have never been able to face what is happening, they are committed to a project of persuasion: pretend everything is fine and it magically will be!
The president is a mad king threatening war against America’s closest allies because he’s got a psychological fixation on an empty frozen island and a Nobel Peace Prize snub and the best the media or opposition can manage is “Trump changes America’s priorities, perhaps for the worse”

Our worthless class of elites is responsible for Trump, not because they agree with him but because their affectation of seriousness has suffocated them and made it impossible to leverage their resources and platforms to stop or slow him. They’d have to break the pose, and REACT, and they will not.

and yes, if you are an American who claims to be anti-Trump and pro-international solidarity, but whine about the prospect of being mildly inconvenienced: you're a child. grow up.

The goal here is to do whatever it takes to force the MAGAs to back down before we get to a point of "the USA launches an imperialist war against the European Union."

Achieving this may require temporarily inconveniencing us Americans.

sorry!! tough shit!

Okay, look. I’m taking a break from the posting break to say we gotta be one team, one fight on this shitshow instead of infighting between American and Euro-Canadian posters.

“Why are Europeans and Canadians so mean?”

Because our country threatened a war of aggression.

“Why aren’t Americans doing anything?”

1500 US Army arctic warfare specialists are literally incapable of deploying to Greenland due to domestic protests over dissidents being publicly murdered.

Kinda funny that Trump thinks "asylum" means other countries send people from insane asylums, and a) this is real life, not a ham-handed Idiocracy-type satire, b) he has surely been corrected several times but is incapable of updating his priors, & c) most media politely agree not to mention it.

I mean, this is mostly storytelling, not game design.

There are a great many people who like thinking up fantastical worlds in their heads. There are far, far, far fewer people with the skills to compellingly realize those worlds in any kind of artistic medium.

So the bottleneck isn't on my side.

They hate the modern world-system: trade and growth and connection and friendship that makes everyone better off

They yearn to return to the old world: zero-sum, kill or be killed, the only way to get rich is by taking someone else's stuff

They are insane to want this; the old system was terrible!

It’s not a popular thing to say among the irony-poisoned lefty cynics but America was in fact a democracy when it elected Donald Trump, as such responsibility for putting him there lies with The People so us Yanquis need to get a lot more comfortable taking that responsibility on the chin
Your country is threatening to conquer the only majority indigenous state in the Americas, take your lumps lads.
I am not here for Europeans telling me Americans don't know how crazy things are. The Nazis are killing people over here at the moment so we're busy but thanks for the input. I had hoped for solidarity but I suppose I'll have to settle for sneering condescension instead.

I can't stop you from having delightfully provocative conversations with Hanania about the racial IQ gap and the threat of wokeness at your think tanks and in your group chats, I am not obligated to pretend that doing so constitutes some kind of valuable political work in service of the Republic.

The debate "rehabilitating" Hanania in particular is profoundly stupid because he has changed none of his views, suffered no consequences, contributes no benefits or assets, theoretical or practical, to the anti-Trump coalition, and is very open about being having total contempt for his allies.

The DHS goons are, to a man, *volunteers,* they volunteered for this either because they like it or because they dislike it mildly enough that the soft comfort of hard cash is enough to overcome their morals.

Either way, they have no screen of obligation mitigating their guilt.

Truly banana pants insane. Every time a federal law enforcement official shoots anyone it should be investigated fully (investigations dont nessacary mean they will be charged, that is why you investigate!). This is the bare minimum for a functioning society instead of a dictatorship
BREAM: Is the FBI investigating the ICE agent who shot Renee Good?

BLANCHE: What happened has been reviewed by millions of Americans bc it was recorded. We investigate when it's appropriate. That is not the case here. We are not going to bow to pressure. So no, we are not investigating.
